WHO WE ARE

 Mitchell and Lisa celebrate more than twenty-five years of marriage and together have four adventurous children- Lauren, Cora, Tucker, and Ben. From the beginning of their relationship, Mitchell and Lisa have been serving Jesus together. Their ministry experience includes working with Young Life, youth ministry in the Church, pastoral ministry, urban and international mission, church planting, mentoring, and discipling. In 2017, after returning to the US from serving in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Lord began to stir a vision for something new: a ministry space for Gospel-centered restoration and renewal. Through their own experiences of restoration and renewal in the beautiful San Juan mountains, Mitchell and Lisa began asking… what if “one day” they could provide a hospitality house in the mountains for gospel-centered restoration and renewal for ministry leaders, teams, marriages, and families? 

 They continually prayed about and put thought into this vision, which became a reality in 2025. Now planted in SW Colorado, Mitchell and Lisa have launched The Dwelling, a hospitality house providing needed space for Christians to unplug from overly scheduled lives for retreat into God’s beautiful creation to experience deep, restful, joyful, soul-replenishing connection with Jesus and others.
